Laura Benanti and Mother Linda Benanti to Perform THE STORY GOES ON at Wolftrap  Image

Tony-winner Laura Benanti will share the stage with her mother, former Broadway star Linda Benanti, in a concert titled The Story Goes On. The concerts will take on March 9 at 3 PM and 8 PM at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia. The show will take audience members on "a musical journey through the special relationship between a mother and daughter." Tickets can be purchased at Wolftrap.org.

Linda Benanti is a former professional actress and singer who performed on Broadway, off-Broadway, and regionally, but transitioned out of performing when she gave birth to Laura in 1979. Linda was last seen on Broadway in the 1981 revival of Brigadoon. She has owns a successful voice studio in Kinnelon, NJ. The first performance of The Story Goes On marked her return to stage.

Laura Benanti can currently be seen on Broadway as Eliza Doolittle in Lincoln Center's revival of My Fair Lady. She is a five-time Tony Award nominee and won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical in 2008 for her performance as Louise in Gypsy opposite Patti LuPone. She has also appeared in numerous Broadway shows including She Loves Me (Amalia Balash), Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Into the Woods (Cinderella), The Wedding Singer, and Nine. Benanti has appeared in a number of television shows in recurring and guest appearances, and most recently has taken on the role of First Lady Melania Trump on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
