La Ti Do Productions collaborates with local Washington, DC musical and spoken word talent to present Hope and Healing for Humanity: A Benefit Concert for BRAWS on Monday, March 27, 2017 starting at 8:00 PM at Bistro Bistro in DuPont Circle.

Bringing Resources to Aid Women's Shelters (BRAWS) is a local not-for-profit dedicated to providing needed resources such as feminine hygiene products and new undergarments to metro area women's shelters.

This brand new event, directed by Charles Wright, music directed by Taylor Rambo, and produced by DC cabaret host and personality Don Michael Mendoza, was created by Wright to spread awareness of BRAWS through song, spoken word, sensitivity, and support via monetary and material donations.

Doors open at 7:30 PM and will feature comedian Dave Johnston as master of ceremonies at the mic alongside award-nominated and winning actor/singers and spoken word artists 2Deep The Poetess, Awa Sal Secka, Caroline Dubberly, Sylvern D. Groomes, Jr., Sarah D. Lawson, Rachel Hurley Levitin, Christopher Richardson, Emily Zickler, (see attached for artist bios). A four-piece live band will accompany the performers.

Tickets are available for a $20 suggested donation via EventBrite online or at the door, or a donation of unopened feminine hygiene products and/or women's undergarments at the door, beginning at 7:45 PM. All proceeds will benefit BRAWS. Bistro Bistro is located at 1727 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20009.
