Washington, D.C.-based pianist John Eaton will perform Jazz, Blues and Broadway at The Alden in McLean at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. Tickets are $25, $18 for McLean district residents. The Alden Theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.

A graduate of Yale University and a student of renowned classical teacher Alexander Lipsky, Eaton has been performing professionally for more than 30 years. His keen insight, immaculate musicianship and extraordinary talent continue to earn him the highest accolades from music critics, listeners, and fellow musicians.

From Gershwin to Porter, this long-time regional favorite and jazz pianist presents popular American songs with keen observations and interpretations. With as much laughter as there is music, his concerts have been called “as reliably entertaining as the Simpsons” by The Washington Post. In Jazz, Blues & Broadway, with bassist Tommy Cecil, Eaton plays a wide range of songs, from Scott Joplin and W.C. Handy to Gershwin and Porter.
