The Shakespeare Theatre Company presents its annual Will on the Hill benefit at Sidney Harman Hall on Monday, April 26, 2010.

This year's show, The Play's The Thing!, is centered around the President, sitting gloomily in the Oval Office, despondent over a bleak economy and a stagnant administration. There seems to be too much to do, and too little time in which to do it. To inspire him for his upcoming state of the union address, his advisors decide to try a radical technique to snap him out of it: put on a show! Using the works of his favorite author-Shakespeare, of course-his cabinet and staff illustrate the ways in which the human spirit can triumph over every kind of adversity.

Will on the Hill 2010 will once again welcome Members of Congress, Senators and distinguished Washington insiders onto the Company's stage to star in this fun-filled event which pays tribute to the unique dynamic of our city. Will on the Hill provides a wonderful way to engage new audiences and support the Company's artistic, education and community outreach programs.

This year's production, The Play's The Thing!, shows the President's Cabinet and staff using the works of his favorite author-Shakespeare, of course-to inspire him as he prepares for his State of the Union address.
