Emmy award winning anchor/reporter Holly Morris started with FOX5/WTTG in December of 1998. Her specialty is "live" TV, specifically on FOX5 Morning News. Each weekday morning, Morris reports and often interacts live from somewhere in the community either covering a breaking news story, previewing an event, or learning more about all that is available in and around the greater Washington area. Morris can also be seen anchoring FOX5 Midday show which airs from 11 a.m. to noon.

During her time in D.C., her work has earned her four regional Emmys, three of which were for "Best Live Reporting." She also has a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Prior to her career at WTTG-TV, Morris was an anchor/reporter at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Kentucky. There she won three regional Emmy's including one for best anchor and one for best feature reporter.

Regarding her upcoming performance, Morris said, "What a thrill! It is like a dream come true for me! I did musical theater when I was in high school. To this day, going to see musicals is one of my all time favorite things to do. I own too many soundtracks to name and often play them...singing along at the top of my lungs!

"I always say, wouldn't it be fun to live in a world where everyone bursts into song and dances in unison. My job allows me to do a lot of fun things, but I can assure you, the opportunity to be apart of a professional musical cast will rank among my most memorable!"

Morris joins the touring cast of CHICAGO, which stars John O'Hurley as Billy Flynn, and includes Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Kevin Chamberlin as Amos Hart, and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton.

Murder. Greed. Corruption. Violence. Exploitation. Adultery. Treachery. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

With a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher.

Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO has become a worldwide phenomenon. The London production of CHICAGO continues to hold the record as the longest running American Musical in West End history.

Other previous international engagements include productions in Abu Dhabi, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. CHICAGO will open in Australia and Holland, and return engagements are slated for Korea, Denmark and Japan in 2009.

CHICAGO is a production not to be missed. And all the reviewers agree. Time Magazine calls it "A Triumph," Newsweek raves "Smashing" and Entertainment Weekly sums it up by calling CHICAGO "Broadway's Most Electrifying Show."
