Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of a new holiday musical, Silver Belles. Directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer (Broadway's Follies, Million Dollar Quartet), this world premiere musical features a book by Allyson Currin (WSC Avant Bard's Caesar and Dada), music by Matt Conner (Signature's Nevermore) and lyrics by Matt Conner and Stephen Gregory Smith (Creative Cauldron's The Turn of the Screw). Silver Belles will run from tonight, November 22, through December 24, 2016 in Signature Theatre's ARK Theatre.

When Oralene, the longtime director of small town Sylva Ridge's Christmas Pageant, suddenly passes away, the Silver Belles must come to the rescue! With the spirit of Oralene looking on, the sterling-hued vixens band together, discover their talents and pull out all the stops to keep the beloved pageant alive.

The production will star Donna Migliaccio (Signature's Sunday in the Park with George) as Oralene, Dan Manning (Signature's The Fix) as Earl, Nova Y. Payton (Signature's Dreamgirls) as Gloria, Naomi Jacobson (Signature's Cabaret) as Bo Jack, Peggy Yates (Signature's Crossing) as Ruth Ann, and Ilona Dulaski (Signature's Witches of Eastwick) as Berneice.

"Signature continues its commitment to present the work of DC Playwrights; Silver Belles will light up our ARK Theatre for the holidays after the critically-acclaimed production of The Gulf by DC Playwright Audrey Cefaly closes," said Eric Schaeffer. "This new holiday musical will have audiences laughing and crying as Oralene (Donna Migliaccio) leads the Silver Belles to produce their best holiday pageant in Sylva, Tennessee history. This fun new musical promises to be a welcome addition to the holiday landscape in Signature style."

The creative team also includes Choreography by Karma Camp; Musical Direction by Warren Freeman; Scenic Design by James Kronzer; Costume Design by Kathleen Geldard; Lighting Design by Kelly Rudolph; Associate Director Walter Ware III; Production Stage Manager Julie Meyer; and Production Assistant Sophia Lewin Adams.
