The D.C. State Players Present Agamemnon is about a community theatre that puts on a show for the first time at the Capital Fringe Festival. The show is inevitably doomed from the start due to conflicts that arise from egos, ignorance, and an overall poor understanding of what "good" theatre is. It explores the idea of how a bad production can be truly funny in the right light. The D.C. State Players take pride in showing the big-boys of the D.C. theatre scene what it means to put on a good show. As one of their mission statements reads, "The greatest community theatre in Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland, Central D.C., and Western Ohio, and possibly the world!"

Capital Fringe is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2005 with the purpose of connecting exploratory artists with adventurous audiences by creating outlets and spaces for creative, cutting-edge, and contemporary performance in the District.
