Desire, betrayal, loyalty, and faith. All of these ingredients, when combined with a wordless adaptation, make for a deliciously-dramatic story.
In Victor Hugo's gothic and heartbreaking epic, the beguiling dancer, Esmerelda, captures the heart of many men but especially the deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo and his adoptive father, the priest Frollo. Torn between his obsessive lust and the strict rules of his faith, Frollo decides he must have Esmerelda at any cost, and plunges all of Paris into a spiral of riots, revolution, and murder. This production is recommended for ages 13+ for violence.
