To kick off the holiday season, Wolf Trap will host its annual Holiday Sing-A-Long on Saturday, December 2nd at 4 p.m. at the Filene Center (1551 Trap Road, Vienna, Va., 22182).
This free community event and Washington-area holiday tradition will feature "The President's Own" United States Marine Band on stage with hundreds of local choristers, plus a community sing-a-long of holiday favorites. "Special guests" for the performance include Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus. Following Wolf Trap tradition, patrons bring bells to participate in "Jingle Bells," and battery-operated candles for an elegant candlelight procession set to a traditional performance of "Silent Night."
Prior to the Holiday Sing-A-Long, Wolf Trap will host a Toys for Tots collection at the entrance of the Filene Center. Patrons are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys, which will be donated to children in the greater Washington area. More information at www.wolftrap.org/tickets/calendar/performance/holiday-sing.
The event will be held rain or shine. This is a free, non-ticketed event, and patrons may choose to sit "in-house," in the covered section of the Filene Center.
