The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, the area's only year-round producing theatre, reached a milestone in 2014, celebrating its 20th Anniversary Platinum Season. Today, the theatre's producers have announced the line-up for the 2015 Mainstage Season.
For two decades, Frederick's only dinner theatre has been bring professional stage shows to Mid-Maryland and the surrounding region. During that time, many theaters across the country came and went, but Way Off Broadway continued to grow. With twenty years behind it, Way Off Broadway is now looking to the next twenty.
The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 21st Season will begin in January 2015 with Agatha Christie's mystery, And Then There Were None. The spring will welcome the return of one of the most popular shows to appear at WOB, the classic Fiddler on the Roof. For the summer, a production of West Side Story will be presented in Frederick for the first time in many years. The fall brings with it a brand new musical comedy based on one of the most popular comics. And the holidays will be celebrated in true Way Off Broadway fashion with The Magic of Christmas.
"There is no question we found it challenging to put together a line-up to follow our 20th Anniversary Season," says Bill Kiska, Way Off Broadway's Executive Producer & CEO. "But we selected shows that would allow the 2015 Season to have something for every taste. From a mystery play to classic musicals to a brand new musical comedy from Broadway, 2015 has a wonderful blend of shows."
2015 MAINSTAGE SEASON
AGATHA CHRISTIE'S
AND THEN THERE WERE NONE
January 9 - February 28, 2015
Previously known as Ten Little Indians, ten strangers are trapped on an island. One by one they are accused of murder; one by one they start to die. One by one, statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel fall to the floor and break as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. In this mystery comedy, a nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten "soldiers" met his death until there were none. A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead - poisoned. One down and nine to go.

Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
