Waitress musical on Video - 2024

The live capture of Waitress the Musical is now available to own on digital platforms. The new release will now allow audiences to stream the filmed version of the Broadway musical from their homes using apps like Prime Video, Apple TV, and more. The film stars Sara Bareilles, Charity Angél Dawson, Christopher Fitzgerald, and more.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the Waitress: the Musical film will be made available for streaming and VOD.

Tickets to see Waitress the Musical in movie theaters are now available. The spirited and visually stunning footage from the hit musical production, which also features Bareilles in the leading role, was captured live on stage in 2021 during the musical’s reprise run on Broadway.

On Monday night, Waitress, the Musical - Live on Broadway! made history as the very first film to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival while also being broadcast in Times Square. The first reviews for the new live capture of the hit musical have been released. Read them now!

Waitress, the Musical – Live on Broadway! will make history as the first film to be broadcast in Times Square during its 2023 Tribeca Film Festival premiere. The December 23rd performance of Waitress on Broadway has been cancelled due to breakthrough infections in the company. The production is expected to resume performances on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021.

A new photo has been released of Ciara Renée and Joshua Henry in character for Waitress on Broadway! Ciara Renée will take over the role of Jenna in Waitress on Thursday, November 25, and Joshua Henry will take over the role of Dr. Pomatter on Monday, November 29.
