Denzel Washington is only a few movies away from retiring. On a recent visit to Australia's Today Show to promote Gladiator II, the acting legend shared some of his next films, which include at least one big-screen Shakespeare adaptation. 

Following producing duties in The Piano Lesson and The Wiz, multi-hyphenate Kandi Burruss is taking on Shakespeare. Along with her husband Todd Tucker, the performer is lending her producing skills to Broadway's upcoming revival of Othello starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal. Many are still entirely dependent on a patriarchal structure, and despite the progress of the past 150 years, true agency is still a dream for many. It is Shakespeare's classic tragedy. Othello Retold through a hip-hop lens and so it is constant beats being spun by DJ who is present the entire time. And and the rhyme being done on top of that consistently in rhythm, just like all of Shakespeare's work was in that iambic pentameter.
