  3. Going Up the Country – a staged reading

A staged-reading of a new play with music by Eric Peterson and John Foley (best known for Pump Boys & Dinettes). The show is based on Yvonne Daleys book Going up the Country which explores how the Counterculture (all those hippies, dreamers, and radicals moving up here in the 1960s -70s) changed Vermont and offers hope for America. Join us in the creative process of bringing a new work to life on stage. Lost Nation Theaters Founding Artistic Director Kim Allen Bent leads this talented cast of four actor/singer/musicians - Sorsha Anderson, Ann Harvey, Robert Nuner, David Ruffin along with the playwrights through an intense workshopping week, which culminates in a staged reading of the new show the latest of LNTs commitment to Vermont projects. The performance will be followed by a talkback with the creators and actors.Keeping our community - audiences and artists safe is our number one priority.
