The Town Hall Theater Young Company will perform an inventive and hilarious retelling of Alice and Wonderland on September 23 & 24 at 7pm.

This adaption was created by the Manhattan Project under the directions of Andre Gregory in 1972 and was inspired by both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This version of Alice was a seminal work for the period that met with international acclaim. It uses the original text by Lewis Carroll but takes of advantage of all kinds of theatricality and adds some dark twists and turns to Alice's adventure.

THT's Young Company is a diverse group of young actors, most of whom have been training with the THT faculty for several years. This year's company is comprised of eighteen actors from the ages of 12-24 who will create a highly physical performance that uses elements of contemporary dance, slapstick and commedia d'ell arte.

According to Education Director Lindsay Pontius "This particular group is on fire! They have a mastery of the collaborative process and are really creating the world of Alice together."

The production will be directed by Kendra Gratton and Lindsay Pontius. An original soundtrack will be developed by Jack Desbois and Joe Plotts along with other local musicians. THT Technical Director Jess Krol designs a unique set and lighting.

The cast includes Talin Teague, Connor Harris, Lana Meier, Zora Duquette-Hoffman, Megan Thomas-Danyow, Gianna Kiel, Anders Bright, Jack Desbois, Chloe Clark, Devyn Pratt, Andrew Trombley, Sophie Lefkoe, Juliette Snell, Maisie Newbury, Gabe Cason, Ethan Markwica, and Theo Spackman-Wells.

Performances take place September 23 & 24 at 7 pm. The production is suitable for families with children 8 and up. Tickets are $10/$5. Reservations are suggested as seating is limited.
