The annual free concert by the talented staff of Point Counterpoint, the classical music school on LakeDunmore, is always an exciting event. Last year's special guest was internationally known pianist Diana Fanning, and predictably Middlebury's Town Hall Theater was packed with music-lovers.

Fanning returns again this year for a concert that will feature the Piano Trio in D major, Opus 70, No. 1 by Ludwig van Beethoven, and the Piano Quintet in A major, Opus 81, No. 2 by Antonin Dvorak.

The annual concert at THT is named the Constance Holden Memorial Concert. It was created in memory of long-time West Salisbury summer resident, Constance "Tancy" Holden, who died in a bicycling accident in Washington, D.C. Holden, an accomplished artist, loved the Point CounterPoint concerts, and her family underwrites this concert as a way of celebrating her life in Vermont.

This evening of exquisite chamber music is scheduled for Monday, July 29. The concert is free, and goodwill donations to support Point CounterPoint are encouraged. The house opens at 7:00 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. concert
