Internationally known pianist Diana Fanning joins the faculty from Point CounterPoint, the classical music school on Lake Dunmore, to present The Constance Holden Memorial Concert at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater on July 31 at 7:30 pm.
The Constance Holden Memorial Concert has become an annual event at Town Hall Theater. It was created in memory of long-time West Salisbury summer resident, Constance "Tancy" Holden, who died in a bicycling accident in Washington, D.C. Holden, an accomplished artist, loved the Point CounterPoint concerts, and her family underwrites this concert as a way of celebrating her life in Vermont.
This year's concert will feature Schumann's Piano Quartet in Eb, Opus 47, and a new composition created at New Music on the Point. Fanning joins the group for the "Dumky" Piano Trio, Opus 90, by Antonin Dvorak
This evening of exquisite chamber music is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, at 7:30 pm. The concert is free.
