Summer visitors to Lake Dunmore often hear classical musical wafting over the waves, coming from Point CounterPoint, a music camp for 11-17 year old string and piano students.

A highlight of the summer is a concert presented by the accomplished professionals on the Point CounterPoint faculty. On July 28, these superb musicians return to Middlebury's Town Hall Theater.

The difference this year is that the concert is free of charge.

The Constance Holden Memorial Concert, as it will be called this year, is in memory of long-time West Salisbury summer resident, Constance "Tancy" Holden, who died recently in a bicycling accident in Washington, D.C. Holden, an accomplished artist, loved the Point CounterPoint concerts, and her family is underwriting this concert as a way of celebrating her life in Vermont.

The concert will feature Mozart's Divertimento in E flat and Dvorak's Piano quintet Op. 81, as well as a special piece that Holden, who was also a dedicated pianist, loved.

This evening of exquisite chamber music is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, at 7:30 pm at Town Hall Theater, Middlebury. The concert is free of charge. For information, contact the THT Box Office at 802-382-9222.
