It's About Time is a celebration of the kinds of life experiences that shape us over time: songs of discovery, change, challenges, adventures, and love. Singers Stephen Rainville and Cathy Walsh and accompanist-arranger Tim Guiles create a summer evening of musical reflection at Town Hall Theater, with songs by composers ranging from Richard Rodgers to Stephen Sondheim to John Bucchino.
It's About Time plays Town Hall Theater's main stage on Thursday, June 18 at 7:30.
Stephen and Cathy share a long history of friendship and performance through both musical theater and cabaret in and around Vermont. Tim Guiles' arrangements and interpretations of familiar and contemporary songs are exciting and fresh. As a trio, they'll weave together an evening of humor and poignancy, using favorites from the musical theater canon as well as traditional songs.
"These are three of the most talented people I know," says THT executive director Douglas Anderson. "I've worked with Cathy on many shows, notably Chicago and A Little Night Music, and Stephen has played the theater many times as part of the group Encore!, and starred with Cathy in Smokey Joe's Café. Tim Guiles has come to this community recently and already has a following as a terrific pianist and teacher. Three great talents and a lot of terrific songs - how could we say no? It's about time, indeed."
Thursday, June 18 at 7:30. $15
