Now entering its sixth year, the Fly Fishing Film Tour showcases fishing in some of the most beautiful sites on earth in short, independent films. This year's tour comes to the big screen at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater on Friday, April 13.

The film will appeal to people who fish but also anyone who loves breathtaking scenery and emotional storytelling. Segments are filmed in US locations liked Montana, Florida, and Idaho, but also across the globe in the Bahamas, Belize, Alaska, New Zealand and Canada. The experience is heightened by amazing stories told along the way: a punk band fishing in Wisconsin; a touching father and son story from Scotland; a doctor with Parkinson's living a dream and fishing in one of Hemingway's favorite spots.

The event starts at 6:15 pm with a product showcase in Town Hall Theater's lower level, where manufacturers of fly fishing productions, from reels to hand-made flies, will display their wares. The film will be shown at 7:30 pm.

For tickets to the April 13 showing of the Fly Fishing Film Tour, visit the Middlebury Mountaineer or the Town Hall Theater Box Office (Mon-Sat, noon-5 pm). Or purchase tickets online at http://flyfilmtour.com/schedule. Tickets are $15. All profits from the showing of this film will go to the New Haven River Anglers.
