A duo of experienced pros with extensive Broadway, regional and TV experience, Bernie Passeltiner, and Christian Kohn, will perform the powerful show TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE at the Saint Michael's Playhouse today, July 3-13. Written by Jeffrey Hatcher and sportswriter Mitch Albom, the show will be staged, evenings at 8 p.m. on July 3, 5, 6, 9-13; matinees at 2 p.m. July 6 and 13.
TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is described as "an inspiring, deeply moving, and wonderfully humorous story about learning to appreciate life while you are living it." When his former Brandeis professor is diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease, a career-obsessed sportswriter plans one brief visit to reconnect and say goodbye. That meeting becomes a life-changing weekly event, as the teacher coaches the student on all matters of life, death, and the extraordinary power of love.

As an actor Kenneth Kimmins has appeared on Broadway in The Music Man, Company, The Gingerbread Lady, Status Quo Vadis, Fig Leaves are Falling, The Magic Show. Television credits include Dallas, Coach, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Curb your Enthusiasm. For Saint Michael's Playhouse Kenneth has directed Other People's Money, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, Broadway Bound, Moonlight and Magnolias and Tally's Folly. He is on the faculty of the Stella Adler Studios/NYU in New York City.

Bernie Passeltiner (Morrie) is delighted to be back at The Playhouse and to be reunited with Mr. Kimmins for whom he played the grandfather, Ben in Broadway Bound at Saint Michael's Playhouse several years ago. He has appeared on Broadway in Café Crown, Goodbye Fidel, Yentl, and The Office and has toured nationally and internationally in West Side Story, Grand Hotel and Cyrano de Bergerac.He has been featured in 17 Off-Broadway shows including A Dybuk, Isn't It Romantic, Kaddish and The Sunshine Boys. Regional theatre includes Morrie and other major roles at The Cleveland Playhouse; Manitoba Theatre Centre; Seagal Center, Montreal; Pittsburgh City Theater; Geva, Rochester; D.C.'s Arena Stage; Williamstown Theater Festival; Syracuse Stage and Repertory Theater of St. Louis. Christian Kohn (Mitch) has worked extensively in New York, Chicago and the regional circuit. Some favorite productions he has appeared in are Hollywood Arms, with Hal Prince and Carol Burnett. The title role inSherlock Holmes: The Finale Adventure, An Ideal Husband , Trailerville, Death of A Salesman, Bug, The Real Hush-Hush , Phaedra directed by JoAnne Akalaitis, The Turn of the Screw, The Lion in Winter, The Gift Horse, David Copperfield directed by Giles Havergal, Sideman, Twelfth Night, and Mary Stuart, Henry V, Julius Caesar, Opus. He has been seen in Sleuth and Shakespeare in Hollywood at the New London Barn playhouse. Last summer he was seen in Unnecessary Farce and Over the Pub at Saint Michael's Playhouse. He currently teaches in the Theater Department at Dartmouth College.
