Dorset Theatre Festival is thrilled to present Neil Simon's classic romantic comedy Barefoot in the Park as the third show in their summer season. "This is a great comedy for our community. It's funny but it also has a lot of heart. It's romantic and appeals to audiences of all ages," says Dina Janis, Artistic Director. The production will be directed by DTF resident director Jenn Thompson, co-Artistic Director of The Actors Company Theatre in NYC, and a local favorite for her past DTF productions, Noises Off and Boeing-Boeing.

The stellar cast includes Tony Roach, who has appeared in The Men at Primary Stages and You Can't Take it With You at TACT; Lesley Shires who recently performed at TACT in Happy Birthday; Geoffrey Wade, most recently seen in the Weston Playhouse's production of Educating Rita; and Amelia White, a local favorite remembered for her roles in Noises Off, Boeing-Boeing, and Deathtrap, who recently appeared in the acclaimed Broadway Production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof starring Scarlett Johanssen. Joining them is reknowned actor Evan Thomspon, whose Broadway credits include Ivanov and An American Daughter, familiar to local audiences for his role in Noises Off, and local favorite Tom Ferguson, who has previously appeared on the DTF stage in the New Play Reading Series workshop production of The Bay of Fundy by Sherry Kramer.

The design team for this exciting production includes scenic design by Kevin Judge, whose Dorset credits include Boeing-Boeing, Good People, and Mauritius, lights by Producing Director Michael Giannitti, costumes by Theresa Snider-Stein and sound design by Stephen Kunken.

Barefoot in the Park will run July 25th through August 10th at Dorset Theatre Festival. For tickets call the box office at (802) 867-2223 or purchase online at dorsettheatrefestival.org. Evening performances at 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday and some Tuesdays, Matinees at 3 pm Wednesdays, Saturdays and some Sundays.
