Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS Opens August 25th at Weston Playhouse

Beginning August 25, Weston Playhouse Theatre Company presents the pivotal play of Arthur Miller's career and the second production of its five-year American Masters series, an initiative dedicated to bringing classics of American drama to Weston's stage with artists of national stature.

All My Sons won Miller the first Tony award ever bestowed for playwriting. The story chronicles the events of a single summer day in which hard-working, self-made family man Joe Keller is forced to face the consequences of his past actions so that his son can have a better life.

Weston's production embraces the timeless themes of family, community, and the American Dream and pays homage to Miller's first major success with an exquisite set and actors who bring freshness to the playwright's iconic roles. All My Sons is helmed by award-winning director Mary B. Robinson. With a portfolio that includes over 70 productions of both classic and new plays in New York City and around the country, including Weston's Copenhagen, Robinson is an esteemed director of national stature. She is a Drama Desk Nominee for her production ofLemon Sky, a Barrymore Winner for Of Mice and Men, and the first recipient of the Alan Schneider Award. She is also one of fifty profiled in the recent book American Women Stage Directors of the Twentieth Century.

Steppenwolf's Molly Regan stars as wife and mother "Kate Keller," a woman of uncontrolled inspirations with an enormous heart. Regan's credits include Weston's Copenhagen, Broadway's August: Osage County, The Crucible, Stepping Out, more than twenty-five Steppenwolf productions, and nine seasons at Williamstown Theatre Festival. Opposite Regan is stage and screen star David Wohl. Wohl's Broadway credits include Golden Boy, Dinner at Eight, The Man Who Had All the Luck, and Fiddler on the Roof. His lengthy list of screen credits includes Saving Private Ryan and Sophie's Choice, along with television's Madame Secretary, Suits, and The Good Wife, among others.

Regan and Wohl are joined by a cast that sports top Broadway, regional, and Weston credits -- Tim Rush, Elizabeth Morton, Davy Raphaely, Piper Goodeve, Gabriel Vaughan, Christopher Kelly, Shannon Marie Sullivan, and from just next door in Brattleboro, child actor Django Grace. The All My Sons creative team includes Scenic Designer Jason Simms, Lighting Designer Jiyoun Chang, Costume Designer Grier Coleman, Composer/Sound Designer Christopher Colucci. Production Stage Manager Martin Lechner and Fight Director Ryan Winkles round out the crew.

"I've loved the plays of Arthur Miller since first encountering them in high school, for their rich, complex characters, their honesty, and authenticity," says Robinson, "and for the quintessentially American stories and themes he chooses to tell and to explore." Weston is proud to continue its American Masters series with this poignant, relevant piece of Miller's work.
