Artists: Ensemble Cappella Mariana (Czech Republic), Constantinople, and Bill Richardson narrator / The life of the Czech nobleman, traveller, writer and composer Krystof Harant ended violently in 1621. This evening presents his surviving compositions and literary legacy - his 1608 book recording the trip he made to the Middle East. Harant's colorful work, narrated by Bill Richardson, will guide you on a musical journey to the exotic lands of Cyprus, Jerusalem, Sinai, and Cairo. In addition to Harant's compositions, the concert also includes music from these distant lands.
