EBONY ROOTS: CONCERT, Part 2 at Roundhouse Community Centre

Sound the Alarm: Music/Theatre (STA) presents EBONY ROOTS     :  Concert, Part 2, the final presentation of the two-part concert project (      Part 1 was held in December), at the Yaletown Roundhouse, Performance Centre.  EBONY ROOTS      (Part 2) is a powerful and intimate music experience that journeys through the evolving emancipation of Black identity and culture from the North American perspective starting with prison work-songs, through passionate spirituals, into iconic songs from the stage (Musical Theatre/Opera), and arriving at the emergence of Black Soul, R&B, Blues and Motown.
