Rumble Productions' Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Drover as Artistic Producer. With the recent departure of Artistic Producer Craig Hall, Mr. Drover was hired in January as Interim Artistic Producer for 2012. Quickly recognizing Mr. Drover's talents and excellent 'fit' with the organization, Rumble's Board has now awarded him the permanent position.

"Rumble has been very blessed in having some wonderful artistic leaders, and Stephen is no exception," said Rumble Productions' Board President, Elizabeth Reid. "He brings great passion and drive to our organization. With Stephen's addition to our already exceptional team, Rumble is poised for great things."

Stephen Drover is the founding Artistic Director of Pound of Flesh Theatre in Vancouver. A native Newfoundlander, Mr. Drover trained at Memorial University and the University of British Columbia, and was an Associate Director for Theatre Newfoundland Labrador. He has taught and directed at Douglas College, Memorial and UBC and has assistant directed at the Stratford Festival and Vancouver Opera. Among Mr. Drover's notable achievements are directing THE BOND, MACBETH and EVERYONE for Pound of Flesh Theatre and SKYDIVE for Realwheels for which he shares a Jessie Richardson Award with Roy Surette. He is a recipient of the Ray Michal Award for Outstanding Body of Work by an Emerging Director and most recently directed the acclaimed production of THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT for Rumble's TREMORS Festival this past April.

"I was thrilled that Rumble offered me the permanent post and I enthusiastically accepted," said Mr. Drover. "This is a wonderful time for Rumble Productions, full of many exciting possibilities and brave new directions. I'm so happy for the opportunity to be a part of it, to join a talented and dedicated team and to steer the company through its next phase of development and beyond."

One of Mr. Drover's first projects with Rumble is an exciting new multimedia production with Calgary's Ghost River Theatre called THE LAST VOYAGE OF DONALD CROWHURST. He will serve as co-creator and co-director of this new work.
