The Royal Canadian Theatre Company is pleased to present the most famous of all gothic tales, DRACULA, through tomorrow, October 24 in Vancouver at Metro Theatre (1370 SW Marine Drive) at 8:00pm, with an additional matinee performance on October 24 at 4:00pm.

Dramatized by Balderston & Deane and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, multi-award winning director Ellie King gives the classic thriller and 1927 Broadway smash hit an update, set in a steampunk universe with the Count's arch-nemesis Van Helsing, who in this incarnation is a beautiful woman.

Lucy Seward (Elyse Maloway), whose father is the doctor in charge of an English sanitarium, has been attacked by some mysterious illness. Her only hope lies with her father's friend, the beautiful and mysterious Professor Anna Van Helsing (Kathryn Stewart), who believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire - a ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims. The vampire is at last found to be a certain Count DRACULA (Kurtis Maguire), whose ghost is at last laid to rest in a striking and novel manner.

DRACULA, performed by Hannah Williams (Miss Wells), Steven Masson (Jonathan Harker), Paul Fisher (Dr. Seward), Kathryn Stewart (Anna Van Helsing), Aaron Paul Stewart (Renfield), Jamie O'Neill (Butterworth), Elyse Maloway (Lucy), and Kurtis Maguire (Count DRACULA) is an intimate performance that will thrill and chill audiences.

Tickets are available online at metrotheatre.com/tickets, by phone at 604.266.7191, or in person at the Box Office. Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for seniors, or $85 for a family pack of four tickets.
