Following last years successful production of 'Glendale', No Set List Theatre Company (formerly Us Rats) will once again be presenting the original work of local playwright Wade Kinley at Studio East - 1498 Frances St, Vancouver - from the 19th-28th of June.

Wade's new play 'Gods Plans', written over five years, is an existentialist cowboy romp about two men who find themselves trapped in the desert overnight. Plagued by danger the duo are forced to face a wicked truth they did not see coming.

Jason Diablo (Continuum Fringe, 2BRO2B), who received glowing reviews for his role as Jerry in 'Glendale', will play Lloyd, the brooding older cowboy in 'Gods Plans'.

Vancouver film veteran Giacomo Baessato (Gracepoint , Wayward Pines, Kid Cannabis and Ally Was Screaming), will play Gerald the unstable vagrant. While Caitlin McCarthy (8 Girls Without Boyfriends, Bash & Brighton Beach) will play the headstrong Catherine, a small town prostitute with a big city bite.

No Set List Theatre Company aims to create a body of work that includes both original pieces and unique "covers" of traditional plays, adding a much needed and new element to the Vancouver theatre scene.Doors: 7pm, Show: 8pm

Tickets: $23 - godsplans.brownpapertickets.com

Wade Kinley is a Vancouver based playwright, screenwriter and director with an MFA in Playwriting from the University of British Columbia.

His most recent project was the sold-out production of Glendale, directed by Jessie Award winner Chelsea Haberlin, at the Little Mountain Theater in Vancouver. As a result of the play's success, Wade optioned the script to Red Trike Media (Parked, Down Here) and is currently adapting the story into a feature length screenplay. Other screenplays that Wade has written include a short film Ben and American Crow and a pilot episode of the proposed television series The Town at Cold Lake. His next project will see him direct his own work for the first time when his play Gods Plans is produced in June 2014.

When directing, Wade has focused primarily on bringing new work to the stage and as a result has been invited to participate in Brave New Play Rites, a highly successful new play festival in Vancouver, as both a playwright and director, for four years running. In the past he has also worked under some esteemed canadian directors including Stephen Heatley, a former associate director at the Citadel Theater in Edmonton, John Cooper and actor/director Tom Scholte (The Dick Knost Show, Sisters and Brothers).

Prior to focusing on his career as a playwright and director Wade worked as an actor and educator.
