Author and actor C.J. Carter-Stephenson will be returning to Brighton for a special Halloween performance of his readers theatre show Tales in the Key of Terror at the Brighton Horrorfest. Prepare to be scared as once again, he brings two of his horror stories vividly to life with words, projected images and an immersive soundscape. This storytelling extravaganza will take you from the wilds of the Old West to the far reaches of space.
In the first story, And Justice For One, a cowboy finds himself being haunted when he accidentally kills a child in a saloon. Taking its cue from horror pioneers like M.R. James and Edgar Allan Poe, it's an eerie tale of gambling, gunfights and things that go bump on the prairie. Next on the programme is Destination Earth, a creepy science fiction story in the vein of movies like Alien and Event Horizon, in which an astro-investigator travels up into space to find out why a mining ship has failed to reach its destination.
Dramatic and fast-paced Tales in the Key of Terror is a show you won't soon forget. See the spooks, hear the screams and have a howling good time.
