SHIFT+SPACE | PAM PRESENTED ELIZA CASSCompletely wonderful! Endearing! Absurdly feasible - Audience member, R&D July 2019PAM is 55 and from Settle, Yorkshire. Shes recently bereaved and is now trying to figure out what her life means as a solo act. She works making decorative indoor signs, writes whimsical poetry about crumbs, toes and God, and at last she needs to dance. But, PAM is not real. Shes been created by a 23-year-old. Brought together, Eliza and PAM tussle to find out why they're really there, and how they might help each other find what they're looking for. PAM is about what happens when we allow these characters to be seen. Its about dancing with, writing poetry about, and loving the parts of ourselves we can't accept as real; and grieving when we grow beyond them.Credits:Directed by Grace GibsonMovement Direction by Temitope Ajose-CuttingDramaturgy by Gemima HullAge guidance: 12+ due to partial nudity in some scenes.About Eliza CassEliza Cass (she/her) is an emerging comedian, theatre maker and wannabe dancer. She makes experimental, accessible and intimate solo work that celebrates sensuality and the liveness of performance. Embodying big-boy bizarre and big-boy hearted characters from 9 year old geniuses, to 55 year old ex-bowling superstars to plucky worms, she invites audiences to connect through the big stretches between darkness and joy, and permission to fail. She's trained as part of Soho Young Company and has been Associate Artist at Tramshed Theatre.Find out more about Eliza Cass:Instagram:@elosercass This performance is presented as part of Theatre Deli's SHIFT+SPACE programme.SHIFT + SPACETheatre Deli's SHIFT + SPACE programme offers artists space and resources to showcase their work to an audience in order to develop further.
