Moments and BIRTH at The Lighthouse

After the success of its critically acclaimed international hit The Nature of Forgetting, Theatre Re returns to The Lighthouse with a double bill of two visually stunning productions Moments and BIRTH.

Part TED Talk, part theatrical performance, Moments demystifies the theatre making process, and creates a thought-provoking piece exploring time, fatherhood and grief. Weaving Katherine Graham, Guillaume Pigé and Alex Judd’s personal stories of becoming parents and reaching midlife with theatrical imagination, they unpick their creative bond, re-evaluate success and make a new show.

BIRTH unfolds ‘a rich tapestry of ongoing humanity’ (The Scotsman) about motherhood, life and love. Emily is eight months pregnant when she reads her grandmother’s journal. As she delves into the depths of her family history, its pages unveil a legacy of courage, unspoken tragedies and unconditional love.
