In the shadows of the newly-built Eiffel Tower and Moulin Rouge, the Parisian bohemian community flourishes. Four young men have been trying to make their mark in literature, music, philosophy and art. Financially poor, they are nevertheless rich in camaraderie and romanticism. But this approach can only last so long: are they ready for the consequences when romance meets reality face to face?
Following the overwhelming success of last year’s tour of Verdi's ‘Rigoletto’ in France and the UK, Opera Loki is excited to be returning to Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate, London in a production of Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’.
La Bohème is directed by Laura Attridge, music directed by Harry Sever and produced by Jane Gray. Returning for her third year with Opera Loki is Luci Briginshaw who will play Mimi. Rodolfo is played by Mark Nathan, Musetta by Jenny Stafford and Marcello by Nick Morton. Other cast members include Ed Hughes, Nick Dwyer, Louis Hurst and James Williams. All the performers are classically trained and have extensive experience on both concert and operatic stages.
