Hamlet at The Opera House

If you’ve never been lucky enough to travel to London’s historic Globe Theatre, you are in for a treat next Queen’s Birthday weekend. The great theatre company is coming to you.

Nestled between the steel bridges and skyscrapers of modern day London sits the world’s most iconic theatre, The Globe. Every year hundreds of thousands of theatre fans from around the world flock there to experience Shakespeare’s plays as they were intended – rowdy, fun and full of life.

Now for the first time, the Globe Theatre will visit New Zealand with its Globe to Globe world tour of Hamlet. This theatrical adventure, directed by Artistic Director Dominic Dromgoole, aims to take Hamlet to every country in the world! The show’s international cast includes New Zealand’s own R?wiri Paratene (Whale Rider).
