Talented boys and girls from Kent are being given the chance to appear in The Marlowe Theatre pantomime.
Auditions for Peter Pan are being held at the Canterbury venue on Saturday 15 July, in partnership with Evolution Pantomimes. Roles on offer are the Lost Boys, and John and Michael Darling, and the juvenile ensemble (girls, who should be 5ft 2in and under).
Young people aged between nine and 15 (inclusive on 1 September) are asked to register at noon (girls) and 2.30pm (boys). The girls' audition will take about two hours and a routine will be taught. Boys will take part in a workshop audition. No food or drink other than water should be brought, and comfortable clothes and soft/dance shoes worn.
A total commitment to the pantomime, from the rehearsal period to the end of the run, is required.
Peter Pan, which is sponsored by Lipscomb Volvo and Whitefriars, stars Shaun Williamson (EastEnders), Wendi Peters (Coronation Street), Gemma Hunt (CBeebies), along with Canterbury favourites Ben Roddy and Lloyd Hollett. It runs at The Marlowe Theatre from Friday 24 November to Sunday 14 January. For full details, go to marlowetheatre.com or call the Box Office on 01227 787787.
