New work by an award-winning writer is being performed at The Marlowe Studio, Canterbury, next week.
Aftershakes is by Geraldine McCaughrean, best known for her children's books and in particular, the authorised sequel to Peter Pan. Ahead of the 400th anniversary in 2016 of Shakespeare's death, she has penned a series of quirky short sequels to explore the enduring appeal of his plays and characters.
This work-in-progress performance will see four playlets performed in an hour-long celebration of The Bard's brilliance. As well as getting an exclusive look at Geraldine's new work, the audience will be able to share their thoughts with the artists after the show.
Aftershakes is at 7pm on Friday 24 July. Tickets, priced £5 (booking fee applies) are from the Box Office on 01227 787787 or at marlowetheatre.com.
