The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company has announced plans for its 14th annual London Theatre Tour, visiting the capital of the English-speaking theatre world from November 3 to 12, 2015. Weston Producing Artistic Director Steve Stettler and London Tour Director Giles Ramsay who have designed all of the company's previous tours will again be leading the group. Registration has begun, and the company expects to have a full group prior to the official registration deadline of May 29.

Tour members will spend 9 nights at The Montague on the Gardens, a 4-star boutique hotel in a row of restored Georgian townhouses adjacent to the British Museum in Bloomsbury, a quiet neighborhood of parks and cafes. The package includes 6 plays, a concert, special meals, and a series of visits, lectures and discussions. Billed as "a tour for people who don't do tours," the hallmark of Weston's trip is the stimulating discussions that occur, both planned and impromptu, and plenty of free time to take advantage of all that London has to offer.

"When we began these tours we had no idea they would be so popular," comments Stettler. "The group itself is always fun and stimulating, and many participants repeat year after year. November is a perfect time to visit London, as the weather is temperate and we can enjoy the shows opening in anticipation of the holidays while avoiding the crowds to come. You don't have to be a theatre expert to attend - our discussions are open and informative, and we love sharing opinions on everything."

A group of approximately 25 will enjoy London's latest hits and most acclaimed new productions. Already booked: David Suchet (PBS Mystery's Poirot) in The Importance of Being Earnest on the West End, Shakespeare's Measure for Measure at the Young Vic, and a new Medea at the Almeida Theatre. Other possibilities include West End appearances by Kenneth Branagh and Nicole Kidman, and a new musical at the National Theatre. Tour members will meet with actors and other artists involved in the productions, as well as top journalists and critics.

All participants receive scripts and welcome packets with recommendations of additional plays, concerts and exhibitions. The tour price includes luxury accommodations, many meals, all performances, discussions and visits, ground transportation in London and a tax-deductible contribution to the theatre company. A group flight from Logan to Heathrow is recommended and will be met by the tour leaders.
