West Bromwich Operatic Society return to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre later this month with PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL from 24 - 28 April.
Tye Harris will play Tick/Mitzi, John Wetherall is Bernadette and Zachary Hollinshead is Adam/Felicia. The drag-queens and transgender woman who contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. They head west from Sydney aboard their bus, Priscilla in a fabulous and heart-warming story.
Niamh Allen, Tasheka Coe and Sarah Moors play the Divas, Simon Pugh is Bob, Elliott Mann is Miss Understanding, Katie Walker is Marion, Trish Humphreys plays Shirley, Sophie Louise Johnson is Cynthia, Matt Evans is Farrah and Alex Wolliscroft is Young Bernadette. Georgie Hodson, aged 11 from Bloxwich and Luca Marandola, aged 12 from Tettenhall alternate the role of Benji.
the company is completed by a talented group of local performers.
Direction is by Ben Cole, Musical Direction is by Adam Joy and Claire Flavell is choreographer.
Recent productions from West Bromwich Operatic Society at the Grand Theatre include Rock Of Ages (2017), Made In Dagenham (2016), Sunset Boulevard and Ghost The Musical (2015) and Sister Act (2014). They will return to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre later this year from 27 November - 1 December with West Side Story, to mark their 80th anniversary as a company.
