WICKED Flies Into Birmingham In 6 Weeks With 90% Of All Tickets Already Sold  ImageWICKED, the spectacular West End and Broadway musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, will begin performances at the Birmingham Hippodrome in just 6 weeks. With over 90% of all available tickets already sold, the last remaining seats (starting from just £28.00) are available at Tuesday-Thursday performances including matinees. Also check for single seats at all other performances. Due to the phenomenal demand for tickets, an extra show has been added on Wednesday 11 April 2018 at 2.00pm (tickets are now on sale).

"The gravity-defying 'Wizard of Oz' prequel" (Time Out) will play for four weeks only from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 29 April 2018. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Birmingham Hippodrome Box Office, online at www.birminghamhippodrome.com or by phone on 0844 338 5000.

The 2018 UK & Ireland Tour of WICKED recently opened in Bristol where it has already broken Box Office records and earned rave reviews: "????? You could be in a Broadway theatre! Wicked is one of the best touring productions ever to come to the city" (Bristol Post), "an absolutely fantastic show and, for staging alone, one of the best I have ever seen" (North Somerset Times) and "one of the best musicals I have ever seen and a must-see for all" (Chew Valley Gazette).

WICKED features Amy Ross as Elphaba, Helen Woolf as Glinda, Aaron Sidwell (best known as 'Steven Beale' in EastEnders) as Fiyero, Steven Pinder (best known as 'Max Farnham' in Brookside) as The Wizard & Doctor Dillamond, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Emily Shaw as Nessarose and Iddon Jones as Boq. Nikki Bentley is Standby for Elphaba.

WICKED is already the 15th longest running show in West End theatre history and is now in its 12th year at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it continues an open-ended run. Around the world, WICKED has been seen by almost 55 million people in 16 countries and won over 100 major awards, including ten theatregoer-voted WhatsOnStage Awards (winning 'Best West End Show' on three occasions) and two Olivier Audience Awards.

Based on the acclaimed, best-selling novel by Gregory Maguire that ingeniously re-imagines the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz', WICKED tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two sorcery students. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West. WICKED has music and lyrics by multi Grammy and Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Disney's Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Enchanted and, for DreamWorks, The Prince of Egypt) and is based on the novel 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West' by Gregory Maguire and adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life). Musical staging is by Tony Award-winner Wayne Cilento and the production is directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello.
