To mark Australia Day today, West Bromwich Operatic Society and Wolverhampton Grand Theatre announce the cast for PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL from 24 - 28 April.
Following recent auditions the young stars of the show who will alternate the role of Benji are Georgie Hodson, aged 11 from Bloxwich and Luca Marandola, aged 12 from Tettenhall.
Georgie and Luca join Tye Harris as Tick/Mitzi, John Wetherall as Bernadette, Zachary Hollinshead as Adam/Felicia, Niamh Allen, Tasheka Coe and Sarah Moors as the Divas, Simon Pugh as Bob, Elliott Mann as Miss Understanding, Katie Walker as Marion, Trish Humphreys as Shirley, Sophie Louise Johnson as Cynthia, Matt Evans as Farrah and Alex Wolliscroft as Young Bernadette. The company is completed by a talented group of local performers.
Direction is by Ben Cole, Musical Direction is by Adam Joy and Claire Flavell is choreographer.
Recent productions from West Bromwich Operatic Society at the Grand Theatre include Rock Of Ages (2017), Made In Dagenham (2016), Sunset Boulevard and Ghost The Musical (2015) and Sister Act (2014).
