Vivo D'Arte to Showcase Undergraduate Performers With SPRING AWAKENING this April

Theatre company Vivo D'Arte, announce a new scheme to showcase undergraduate and newly graduated performers. Vivo D'Arte, known for their promenade productions of musicals including 'Parade' and 'Rent' at the world's oldest mechanised paper mill, announced this scheme with a production of the Tony Award-winning musical 'Spring Awakening'.

Founded and managed by Dan Cowtan, Vivo D'Arte is a theatre company looking to change the norms of a theatrical experience and offer a platform for both graduates and professional performers to showcase themselves.

With a focus on theatre arts training, in 2015, Vivo D'Arte built a partnership with one of ATG (Ambassadors Theatre Group) regional theatres as well as continually producing their own training opportunities independently since. This new scheme is designed to be a showcase opportunity for performers in the early stage of their professional careers.

Produced by Dan Cowtan, Spring Awakening will run at the Frogmore Papermill in Apsley, Hertfordshire from the 17th - 20th of April.

Based on Frank Wedekind's play, the musical tells the story of sexual and adolescent discovery in the late 19th-century Germany. Unlike previous Vivo D'Arte productions, Spring Awakening will be a staged production with a performance stage built in the historic venue.

The cast will consist of students and graduates from some of the countries leading institutions: Royal Academy of Music, Guildford School of Acting, ArtsEd, Birmingham School of Acting, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Hope Aria Academy.

Vivo D'Arte are excited to launch this new scheme and hope to continue to create more opportunities for creatives and performers in the future.
