The annual underground festival of theatre, music, art and comedy concluded this weekend with record-breaking attendance and more than seventy thousand tickets sold to over 350 individual shows. With more than 70,000 tickets sold to over 350 individual shows, 16 glittering late night parties and more than 3,000 individual performances across eight weeks, VAULT Festival celebrates its most successful year to date. The 2018 festival spanned eighteen venues and increased tickets sales by over 22,000 from last year, with sixty shows playing to sold out crowds.
Many companies have the Edinburgh Festival in sight and are set to enjoy UK tours and West End transfers including Naomi Sheldon's Good Girl which immediately transferred to Trafalgar Studios following critical acclaim at VAULT. The Guild of Misrule's Neverland and Chivaree Circus' Becoming Shades both playing to packed out audiences, running throughout the entirety of the festival. LIPSINK's Brilliant Jerksenjoyed national acclaim with a multitude of further shows including Hermetic Arts' Unburied, House of Blakewell's I Have a Bad Feeling About This... and Blackboard Theatre's Stardust, leaving VAULT with prestigious five star reviews.
