Tmesis Theatre To Premiere BEYOND BELIEF at Unity Theatre Liverpool ImageFollowing successful national tours of That's Amore and Happy Hour, Liverpool's award winning physical theatre company Tmesis Theatre will premiere in late September their latest show, Beyond Belief.

Beyond Belief will open at the Unity Theatre in Liverpool on Friday 28 September, continuing through to Saturday 6 October, and the production will then tour till the 18th October. It will tour nationally in spring 2019.

Beyond Belief asks the questions, what would happen if you could live forever? If you could bring your loved one back to life and resurrect their digital soul?

It is a powerful and moving journey into the unnerving future of life and death in our social media obsessed, technology blinkered society. With their trademark playful physical style, Tmesis explore how we cope with loss in the digital age and how we won't ever let Elvis die.

The production will merge text, physicality, powerful design and original music to create a stunning, engaging, playful and emotive performance that will make us question the future of the world we are living in.

Tmesis Theatre are one of the UK's leading physical theatre companies who create, share and develop extraordinary physical theatre through touring, participation and at the International festival, Physical Fest. They make playful and passionate theatre that explores what it is to be human, they make work that is bold, exciting and creates a lasting impression.

The company has performed across the UK and internationally in Ireland, Zambia, Croatia, France, Italy, Germany, Greece and New York, winning the award for 'Best Choreography' for Wolf Red in 2016.

Director, Elinor Randle said: "Beyond Belief began with a fascination about how we now live and die online, how our lives can be measured by status updates, collected data, and how we are being encouraged to think about our digital legacies. Once I started researching a whole new world that was both terrifying and fascinating opened up, age old questions about life and death suddenly had new meaning in the digital age, can we and do we really want to live forever? I'm really excited to be working with such a talented cast and creative team on this new show and believe it will be really different and exciting for audiences."

Tmesis are excited to be working for the first time with The Kazimier (creators of multidisciplinary multimedia work/ Invisible Wind Factory) to integrate digital elements to the set and localised lighting effects, and recent 1st class honours LIPA graduate Stephanie O Hara designing our own unique dystopian world.

They will continue working with award winning writer Chris Fittock and will work for the first time with dramaturg, Lindsay Rodden who has worked in Ireland and the UK on many plays and productions, especially for Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, where she worked for eight years. Recent work includes Bright Phoenix and Hope Place (Everyman); Scrappers and Held (Playhouse Studio); Tiergarten (Metal; and Narvik (Box of Tricks).
