This Christmas the Rose Theatre will join forces with Broadway producer Bud Martin to present The Three Musketeers, a brand new musical adapted from the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas. The Three Musketeers will play at the Rose from 27 November to 2 January, prior to the West End.

Sultry, passionate and full of the heat of Parisian summers, the story of D'Artagnan and his quest to join the legendary Musketeers comes to the stage in a thrilling production directed by Francis Matthews, with an original score by George Stiles.
This will be the Rose Theatre's third Christmas show and its first musical. Artistic Director Stephen Unwin said "We're building a reputation for presenting adaptations of classic novels at Christmas, and it's great to be stretching our wings and staging a musical. We are incredibly excited to be working with Bud Martin, Francis Matthews and George Stiles."

George Stiles is an award-winning songwriter whose credits include Mary Poppins and Honk!. Francis Matthews was previously Artistic Director of Greenwich Theatre, which has a long history of developing and presenting classic and new musicals. Bud Martin has recently co-produced the West End's Legally Blonde and Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 on Broadway, and is co-producer of the upcoming West End and Broadway production of La Bete.

Cast to be announced soon.

The Three Musketeers is suitable for ages 10+.
