The Point, Eastleigh launches a new In-the-Round performance programme this spring, opening with two brand new professional dance-theatre shows.
The venue's In-the-Round strand invites audiences to attend intimate professional performances in a unique stage set-up that puts you in the midst of the show's narrative. Audiences are up-close to the action of the show, with seats positioned in a circle around the performance space.
The series launches with Point of Echoes by bgroup and China Plate Theatre on Wednesday 28th February, followed by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre with Sleuth on Thursday 19th April.
Point of Echoes is set in 1978 and explores the relationship between two strangers stationed at Echo Point lighthouse on the coast of England. The production marks the highly anticipated collaboration between renowned choreographer Ben Wright and musician and writer Stuart Warwick.
Sleuth follows Detective Miller, a lone investigator in 1950's Britain tasked with solving a crime. You are invited to step into a world of intrigue and adventure, where the audience must solve clues and decide where the story goes next in an interactive and bespoke dance-theatre experience by ZoieLogic. The company is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation born in Eastleigh and based in Southampton.
Individual tickets to either show presented In-the-Round are just £10 with an exclusive offer of £15 for both, offered as part of The Point's dedication to presenting world-class contemporary performance at an affordable price.
