October 1 WILLIAMS LUDWIG & Dean Austin "Foreign Affair". From the cabarets of Weimar Berlin and the songs of Weill and Hollaender to the music of Brel and Piaf, this is a journey into the heart of 20th century European cabaret and chanson. Tickets: £15

October 2 Simon Beck "For The Love Of...!" Performing with JulIan Kelly at the piano and Nick Walsh on bass, Simon brings a new perspective to all sides of LOVE! From Girl Meets Boy, to Conjoined Twins, to South American Prison Cells, all via Chocolate Cake. Expect songs by cabaret legend Amanda McBroom, William Finn, Kander & Ebb and Stephen Schwartz and a very unusual song by the writers of Dreamgirls. Tickets: £15

October 3 & 4 NICKY GAYNER "Hooray For Love". Following the success of Nicky's 'Empty Nest' at The Pheasantry, she is delighted to return with her new show "Hooray For Love". The show is a musical celebration of our universal quest for love. From childhood crush to lasting romance, Nicky takes us on a musical journey through the highs and lows of finding and losing love. Tickets: £18

October 5 PAUL DUNTON presents an evening of top quality original independent music from a selection of his acclaimed roster of original talent that comprises an incredible 450 acts. Tickets: £7

October 6 JAZZ POETRY SUPERJAM National Poetry Day. Celebrated poet Michael Horovitz will be presenting another Jazz Poetry SuperJam. Joining him will be the Evergreen queen of Chelsea's Bohemia, Molly Parkin, poet and comedian John Hegley, Adam Horovitz, Vanessa Vie, Peter Lamer and a number of special guests still to be confirmed. October 7 ACANTHA LANG New Orleans born, Blues/Soul singer Acantha Lang, has a powerhouse voice that has been compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin & Tina Turner. Her vocal range is impressive - soulful high notes to singing ballads, with a rich tone laced with emotions that has been known to bring an audience to tears. Her command of the stage is phenomenal. She has performed for the likes of Simon Cowell, Tom Cruise & Sting. Acantha has worked as at backing vocalist for Robert Randolph and Rod Stewart. Some of Acantha's biggest influences are Etta James, JAmes Brown, Nina Simone, but credits Blues music as the foundation of her sound. Tickets £15

October 10 -12 Claire Martin AND LIANE CARROLL join forces for their new show "Double Standards". BBC Radio3 broadcaster Claire Martin has established herself as a tour de force on the UK jazz scene gaining an OBE for her services to jazz along the way. Singer/pianist Liane Carroll, one of the UK's greatest musical treasures is a soulful, emotive artist capable of moving an audience to tears or have them jumping for joy with her breath-taking vocal virtuosity. Join these two-multi award winning jazz singers in an intimate night of song and musical mischief. Tickets £18

October 13 CABARET CONFIDENTIAL Celebrating 10 years of showcasing up-and-coming musical theatre and cabaret talent, host Jamie Anderson and resident pianist Simona Budd introduce four more eclectic and diverse vocalists in this hugely popular monthly event. Tickets £13.50

October 14 Maria Kesselman "With A Song In My Heart " West End leading lady and concert artist Maria Kesselman is joined by pianist James Church, in an evening of songs and anecdotes spanning musicals, cabaret, the great American songbook, comedy and even a touch of opera. The show will take you on an emotional rollercoaster with songs by Gershwin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Brel, Sondheim, Lloyd Webber, Bernstein, Lehrer and more. Tickets: £20

October 15 & 16 SALENA JONES 'Jazz Doyenne who bridges gap with Pop' World celebrated singer, Salena Jones, and her quartet returns to The Pheasantry with two intimate shows. From the jazz/blues notes of Salena's voice on Saturday evening straight to a Sunday afternoon of great music, these two shows are not to be missed. Tickets: £25. October 16 show is at 1.30pm

October 16 BRITANNIA RULES THE STAGE this celebratory charity evening of songs from great British musicals, featuring a cast of West End professionals led by Jemima Rooper (Hand to God, Blithe Spirit, One Man Two Guvnors, TV's Lost in Austen, Atlantis) and live band. Enjoy favourite songs from musicals by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elton John, Stiles and Drewe, Howard Goodall, and more. Tickets: £15

October 17 OWEN Paul Best known for his summer of 1986 number 3 hit, 'My Favourite Waste of Time'. Since then he has toured the world with Mike and the Mechanics and has performed extensively both as a solo artist and with his band at 80's festivals. Join him and his band as they play a stunning acoustic selection of iconic 80's hits along with some of Owen's own compositions. This show is part of the 'My Favourite Waste of Time', 30th Anniversary 1986-2016 official celebration. Tickets: £18

October 18 KIT & MCCONNEL "Out To Lunch" Kit Hesketh Harvey (best known for thirty years as the singer-songwriter of Kit and the Widow,) and pianist, and occasional accordionist, James McConnel return to the Pheasantry in a programme of newly minted original songs, both hilarious and moving. They will explore contemporary events and local scandals and the extraordinary vagaries of the human heart. They are especially delighted to be performing at The Pheasantry, as London life contains almost limitless potential song material. Tickets: £25

October 19 LUNA COHEN "Brazilian Jazz Night". Featuring the warm Latin Jazz vocals of Brazilian singer Luna Cohen together with Rob Luft on guitar, Matheus Nova on bass, and Jansen Santana on drum-percussion, the quartet's musical repertoire will combine original songs by Luna Cohen with covers of such masters as Djavan, Dorival Caymmi and João Donato. Tickets £15

October 20 - 22 Adele Anderson "Gloomy Sunday" After three sell out nights in June, Fascinating Aida's Adele Anderson, reprises her show Gloomy Sunday. The title refers to the song of that name, not the days of the week on which she will perform. The show features songs of disappointment, depression and death by a variety of songwriters who share Adele's life view that things can only get worse and undoubtedly will. Tickets: £20

October 23 THE Cole Porter SONGBOOK. Jazz vocalist Ahmed Harfoush and soprano Gillian Webster-Ashcroft explore the songs of one of America's most loved and revered composers of the last century, the illustrious Cole Porter. Accompanied by Dan Hewson on piano and Terry Davis on double bass, the vocalists will present highlights from Porter's extensive repertoire in duets and solos from 'Night and Day' to 'I've Got You Under My Skin' to 'So In Love' to 'Begin the Beguine'; A night of jazzy timeless classics. Tickets £20 Show 1.30pm

October 23 SNAPPY TITLE SPOTLIGHT- THE SONGS OF MARK ALLCORN. 2008 Stiles & Drewe award winner, Mark Allcorn, presents an evening of original songs. With influences such as Tim Minchin, Marvin Hamlisch, Randy Newman and Robert Lopez, Mark introduces an eclectic mix of cabaret, comedy and musical theatre songs. His music has been performed in numerous London cabarets and showcases over the last few years and he has 3 musicals and 2 albums to his name. Tickets: £15

October 25 TAILORMADE were recently crowned 'The Best Buskers in London'. Jack, Aaron and Matt are an energetic, straight-talking mix of 3 brilliant young singer/songwriters. Formed at Carlisle University, their passion for music led them into creating a new vibrant British sound...'No nonsense Brit Pop'. The lads have supported the likes of Blue, Rebecca Ferguson, & CeeLo Green. They were involved with the Brit Awards for 2 years running. This summer the boys were thrilled to announce they would be supporting UK Soul Sensation, Lemar and Will Young. Tickets: £10

October 26 MOMENTUM are a contemporary jazz-fusion 6 piece band. They have recorded 2 albums 'Acton to New York' and recently 'Singularity'. The songs are an eclectic mix of jazz, flamenco, tango and reggae. Featuring Yosi Marshall on saxes, Johnny P on bass and Lonette Charles on vocals. With Caroline Cooper on keys, Paul Viski on guitar and Lyn Edwards on drums. Momentum are regulars at the Pheasantry. Tickets: £12

October 27 GEORGE MONTAGUE. Ingenious singer songwriter, multi-instrumentalist George Montague is an exceptional musician with immense energy, and countless contagious original songs. Playing piano and guitar, George is known for entertaining and rousing enthusiastic audiences in uplifting song with his versatile vocals. He enhances his phenomenal live shows by featuring live-looping vocal harmonies and beat boxing, creating remarkable hooks to accompany his abiding melodies producing dynamic performances, solo or with his not-so-big-band. Tickets: £10

October 28 & 29 Linda Purl "Up Jumped Spring Celebrating Lifes' Unexpected Turns and Twists". Linda Purl's recent running roles on television series have been on 'True Blood', 'The Office' and 'Homeland'. Purl has starred in numerous plays and musicals on Broadway as well as in regional theatres across America. Purl is pleased to be returning to London with her new show, arranged by her musical director Geoffrey Eales, 'Up Jumped Spring'. Tickets: £20

October 31 GRAHAM BLEASDALE ' I Believe'. Graham will be appearing with his band and gospel singers, along with very special guest: Derek Nash. Graham's highly distinctive sound has really blossomed on I Believe with his own jazz-inspired piano playing, in harmony with gospel singers and an eclectic blend of jazz, blues and gospel music. Coming from the heart, Graham writes songs that speak of his own life experience. As a singer and songwriter, Graham has an undeniable ability to make music that can bridge cultural and geographical boundaries alike. His songs are at once emotional, uplifting and full of hope.
