A MURDEROUSLY FUNNY COMEDY

Following his hugely popular and critically acclaimed revivals of Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, A Woman of No Importance, The Importance of Being Earnest, and the legendary Peter Hall production of An Ideal Husband, Bill Kenwright presents Trevor Baxter's acclaimed adaptation of one of Wilde's most celebrated stories, Lord Arthur Savile's Crime.

Making his comedy debut, multi-talented Lee Mead stars as Lord Arthur Savile. Following his success in hit BBC show Any Dream Will Do, he played the role of Joseph in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat for 72 sold-out weeks in London's West End.

Lee will be performing opposite an all-star cast led by entertainer Gary Wilmot (Chicago, Copacabana, Me and My Girl), the glamorous Kate O'Mara, (Dynasty, Howard's Way, Bad Girls), David Ross (The Green Green Grass, Goodnight Sweetheart), Derren Nesbitt (Special Branch, Where Eagles Dare) and Louisa Clein (Judge John Deed).

Lord Arthur Savile is deliriously happy; a pillar of Victorian society on the verge of marriage to the lovely Sybil Merton, when a brief departure from late Nineteenth century convention leads him to an encounter with a chilling clairvoyant called Podgers.

Podgers secretly reveals that at some point in Arthur's life he is destined to commit murder. To protect his future wife, Arthur decides he must commit this bloody deed before he marries.
