Multi-award nominated stand-up and regular Mash Report correspondent Pierre Novellie is set to bring his critically acclaimed show Hear Novellie, See Novellie, Speak Novellie to Soho Theatre from 2nd to 6th April, following sell-out performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Pierre's latest hour sees him apply his genre-dodging approach to the world of satire, as he uses his South African perspective to reveal the madness of the monarch's Christmas Address, deconstructs chickens to explain how veganism will never take off, and talks about politics without taking sides achieving a world first for a comedian by neither slavishly endorsing Jeremy Corbyn nor pretending to be a hard-right troll in order to appear more attractive to television producers.
On TV and radio, Pierre has written and appeared on BBC Two's The Mash Report and has appeared on shows including Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Joke Thieves (BBC Two), Outsiders (Channel 4), Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live (BBC Three), Taxi Gags (All 4) and The Rest is History (BBC Radio 4), while his writing credits include Mock the Week (BBC Two) and Newzoids (ITV). As a live performer he has been nominated for Best Newcomer and twice for Best Club Comic at the Chortle Awards, and has supported Dave Gorman, Hal Cruttenden and Gary Delaney on tour, as well as performing four previous sell out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.
