CAPTAIN Scott, Bing Crosby and Ross and Rachel all feature at The Marlowe Studio, Canterbury, next month (June).

Great Scott!, on Friday 3 June, is the story of the great explorer and invaders from outer space, and asks what if Captain Scott actually perished whilst saving the world form aliens.

Some of the best up and coming names in stand-up appear at The Marlowe Comedy Club on Saturday 4 June (and Saturday 25 June).

Bing Crosby In Hollywood (Sunday 5 June) sees award-winning singer Robert Habermann tell the stories and sing the great songs from the legendary crooner's films.

Mark Billingham and My Darling Clementine: The Other Half (Monday 6 June) is a unique collaboration between the leading lights of crime fiction and country music. An original story by best-selling crime writer Billingham, is sound tracked by the powerful and poignant songs of internationally-acclaimed duo My Darling Clementine.

Peter Howarth, the lead singer of The Hollies, presents an intimate acoustic gig in The Marlowe Studio on Tuesday 7 June. This is a rare opportunity to experience his amazing vocal talent and superb guitar arrangements of the hits of The Hollies, and more.

Ross & Rachel (Friday 17 June) is the mind-bending, heart-breaking story of what happens when a couple that was always meant to be together, get together. And stays together. Olivier-nominated playwright James Fritz's play is an unflinching look at the myths of modern love.

Wednesday 22 June sees the preview performance of a new contemporary play, Captured. This politically-charged and poignant two-hander uses mesmerising projection to tell the story of a turbulent reunion of past lovers.

The Alternative Comedy Show (Thursday 23 June) is a celebration of comic originality and ideas, and offers audiences the change to discover their new favourite comedian.

Sona Jobarteh (Friday 24 June) is a modern, female pioneering musician in an ancient, male-dominated hereditary tradition. She plays the kora (a West African harp), which she has modernised, bringing a rhythmic edge to her compositions which perfectly fits her remarkable voice. Sona and her band appear at The Marlowe Studio before dates at Glastonbury and the London Jazz Festival.
