THE MARLOWE Studio, Canterbury, welcomes more new talent in the new year.
Multi-award-winning jazz vocalist and songwriter Christine Tobin plays on Saturday 16 January. Renowned for her unique rich voice, the show is a celebration of Brazilian music and the songs recorded by the great Brazilian icon Elís Regina.
Maz O'Connor, one of British folk's rising stars, comes to the Studio on Friday 22 January. The BBC Folk Award-nominee performs traditional folk songs, along with tracks from her new album The Longing Kind, which explores themes of longing and identity. Maz accompanies her voice with guitar, piano, shruti box and harmonium.
The Marlowe Comedy Club on Saturday 23 January features some of the best up-and-coming names in stand-up: Ed Gamble, Luke Benson, Adam Hess and Mark Smith.
