The Lyric Young Company to Present EVOLUTION

Lyric Young Company present Evolution: a two day multi-art form festival celebrating ground-breaking and exciting work produced, created and performed by young people.

With fifteen events over one weekend from new writing, feature films, flashmobs and family music sessions to workshops, talks from industry experts, discussions and an epic live night finale hosted by Kool Beanz - there's plenty to get involved with.

Evolution is aimed at ages 16 - 25, however there are events available for all ages.

Julie's Bicycle 3 Star Creative Industry Green Certificate

For the fourth year running, the Lyric Hammersmith has been awarded the highest level 3 star Creative Industry Green certificate by Julie's Bicycle for 2014/2015. As the first theatre building to achieve a 3 star rating, the Lyric now becomes the first theatre to maintain this highest level of rating for four years.

Lyric Hammersmith continues to demonstrate leadership and excellent awareness of its environmental impacts. With five annual Creative Industry Green certificates achieved, this year represents a 35% reduction in energy emissions (per performance) and 49% reduction in water and wastewater emissions (per performance). Working with London-based First Mile, Lyric Hammersmith recycled or composted 96% of its site waste in 2014/15.

The Lyric's commitment to sustainability has also been demonstrated by the recent capital building development which includes technical improvements such as LED lighting upgrades, and ecological interventions like a green sedum roof.

Lyric Hammersmith continues to produce innovative communications, creating the green sub-brand 'LYRIC LOVES GREEN' in order to increase the impact of its initiatives and align its environmental messaging to all users of the Lyric's building.
