Starring Siobhán McSweeney and Shane Casey, Autumn Royal will open to sold-out audiences as it premieres at the Everyman this week. Ticket holders, who will be seated behind the curtains on the Everyman stage, are set for a treat with Barry's dark, dark comedy. Autumn Royal is a play about life and death, love and hate, hysterical dependency, jealousy, rage, horror, and homicidal notions - or, in other words, it's a play about a family.
Kevin Barry is the multi-award winning writer of the novels Beatlebone and City Of Bohane, and the story collections Dark Lies The Island and There Are Little Kingdoms. The Everyman is proud to present and coproduce its world premiere, from Monday 30th January - Saturday 4th February, before it goes on to the Project Arts Centre, Dublin (7-11th February), then The Dock, Leitrim (23rd February).
